On Saturday the defending German Bowl champions, the Berlin Adler, with a 7-2 record, take on the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, also with a 7-2 record. Berlin is currently in second spot in the Northern Division while the Unicorns are second in the South. The teams played in early May and the Adler prevailed in a close game winning 27-24.
On Sunday, the two first place teams, Marburg (South) (7-1) and the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes (North) (7-1) battle. Marburg won the first meeting this season 22-19.
So first place and home field advantage in the playoffs is up for grabs in both games.
