On the final regular season weekend of the season the London Blitz beat the London Cobras 42-0 to finish 10-0. The Coventry Cassidy Jets then defeated the Sussex Thunder 54-7 to edge past the Cobras into third spot. The Jets had a remarkable turnaround. After starting the season with four straight losses they went 5-1 the rest of the way.

On September 12 the first place Blitz face the London Cobras in one semifinal while the Jets will play the Bristol Aztecs, who finished second, in the other.
