The Basel Gladiators (Swiss top division) have signed Todd Hendricks as an assistant coach.

Hendricks has signed with the Basel Gladiators. He spent the 2011 season as the head coach of the newly-formed Terni Steelers in Italy.

Todd is a veteran of European play having first played and coached with the Vienna Rangers of the Austrian first division from 1993 to 2000. During his six seasons, he earned the Austrian Football League's most valuable player award and was all EFAF three seasons.

From 2000 to 2007 Todd coached at a number of small colleges including Augsburg (NCAA Div III) where he coached wide receivers on the number two ranked offense in the nation in 2007, and Ridgewater (NJCAA). At Wabasso HS, Minnesota, as head coach he guided to team to the sectional playoff two years in a row. In 2008, as the offensive coordinator at ACGC High School, Minnesota he helped the team to a 10-1 record, averaging over 40 points per game while winning the conference championship.

He returned to Europe in 2008 as an assistant coach and player for the Vienna Knights, leading the team in receiving after playing only three games. In 2009 he was the playing head coach for the Bern Grizzlies (Swiss top division). The Grizzlies had the top-rated defense in the league and advanced to the Swiss semifinals. As the offensive coordinator and quarterback for the Thun Tigers(Swiss 2nd division) in 2010, Hendricks helped to the team improve to a 6-2 record, while throwing for 1,096 yards and 11 TDs. The offense averaged 400 yards and 35 points per game. His overall record as a head coach is an amazing 75-24.
