Gianluca Santagostino left Italy last January, 26th to reach World Team in Austin, Texas. This year the Milano Seamen wide receiver will represent Italy at the classic USA-WORLD face-to-face. "Saying I'm so happy is quite obvious", Gianluca said. "Emotion is high, I'm honoured to represent Italy and FIDAF in this match. This is a great opportunity for me to face other nation's players."

On the World's bench another Italian: Giorgio Longhi, of the Italian Coach Association and member of the EFAF Coach Develpment Program, will be Defensive Assistant while Daniele Rossi, is named as Defensive Back coach in the Development Team.

Gianluca Santagostino also played in the 2011 first division championship and is a member of both the Italian Senior National Team, the Blue Team, and the U 19 National Team.
