The Amiens Spartiates have won the French Championship against the Thonon Black Panthers (10-7) in Paris (Charléty stadium) in front of a crowd of about 7,000 people.

This is the 3rd time (after 2004 and 2010) that the Spartiates win the "Casque de diamant" (name of the championship trophy). They defeated last year's winner, the Flash from La Courneuve, in the semi-final.

The Black Panthers have lost the French Championship final twice previously (in 2007 and 2009).
