Micah Brown, new quarterback of the Marburg Mercenaries.
Despite being just 26 years old, Micah Brown looks back on an illustrious football career. Having been at Auburn University (SEC), Southwest Mississippi College (JUCO) and St. Paul's College (Div. 2), the versatile athlete ended up in Europe.
Micah represented his country, the United States, playing for the National Team in 2011 in the World Championship in Austria, which resulted in a Gold Medal. In 2009 after being in the Canadian Football League, Brown led his Huskies of the Saint Mary's University in Canada to the 2010 Conference title and was named the Offensive MVP of the championship game and team Offensive Player of the Year. Only a rule change in Canadian college football prevented Micah in 2011 from completing his 5th year of eligibility. Micah went on to play Arena football in Texas for the 2012 season, being the Offensive Player of the Year.
Mercenaries' president Carsten Dalkowski says "Micah can also be used as a receiver and returner. He is extremely agile and always in a position to gain the necessary yardage."
"My fiancee and I are looking forward to Marburg and the GFL. Especially with the young receivers, we will have a wonderful time." says Brown.
It is assumed that the Mercenaries will soon announce further additions to the team.
