The Wroclaw Devils, defending Polish American football champions, have announced the signing of Mike Messer as their new head coach.

In 2009, Michael Messer served as the head coach of the Carlstad Crusaders guiding the team to an 11-1 record while also coaching the Crusader B team to a 9-1 record.

Messer, a native of Illinois has coached at a variety of colleges and high schools. At Missouri Valley College (NAIA Division II) he served as the head track and field coach while also coaching the football team shaping a defense which ranked first in the country.

At the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (NCAA Div. III) his punt return team was ranked first in Division III while his punt team was fourth.

As the track coach at both the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and the University of Dubuque (NCAA Division III ) he developed national champions in the hammer throw as well as national qualifiers in the 100 and 200 meters.
